Accountability
Corrections Policy
Accuracy matters. We welcome specific, well-supported correction requests.
What to report
Please tell us which page contains the issue, quote or describe the information in question, explain why it may be inaccurate, and include a reliable source that supports the correction.
How we review requests
Our editors compare the request with the cited source, the product information available at publication and any relevant primary documentation. A request from a manufacturer is considered on the same evidentiary basis as one from a reader.
How we make updates
When a material error is confirmed, we correct the page and update its date. Small spelling, grammar or formatting fixes may be made without a separate notice when they do not change meaning.
Editorial judgment
A disagreement with our conclusions does not by itself establish a factual error. We may decline requests that rely only on promotional statements, unverifiable claims or information unrelated to the published text.
